Civil society space in Europe from the rule of law perspective
The Bingham Centre for the Rule of Law organizes an event on restrictions faced by civil society organisations in Europe, and how encroachments raise issues under core rule of law principles. The event will examine responses from the Council of Europe and European Union at a regional level; relevant case law of the European Court of Human Rights; and examples of successful reforms in European countries at a domestic level.
On behalf of ECNL, Ms Katerina Hadzi-Miceva Evans will talk at the event, to be held in London on November 22, 2016. For more details on the Protecting Civil Society in Europe: Challenges and Opportunities for the Rule of Law event, visit the event page.
