Have Your Say in the Revision of FATF Recommendation 8!

22-04-2016
FATF has launched a public consultation on its website to consult the NPO sector on specific proposals to the text of Recommendation 8. The deadline for submitting comments is April 29.

The exercise is intended to be focused and limited revision of Recommendation 8 - the FATF currently has no plan to re-open the revision of the FATF Standard as a whole.

Building on the written public consultation launched from 6 to 27 November 2015, the consultation with the NPO sector at the Consultation and Dialogue Meeting held in Vienna on 18 April 2016 and its on-going revision of the Interpretive Note to Recommendation 8, FATF has announced a public consultation of Recommendation 8. All comments will be shared with the FATF delegations. FATF will discuss the input received through the Vienna meeting and this consultation exercise, with a view to finalising the revisions to Recommendation 8 and its Interpretive Note in June 2016.

Deadline for submission of views and specific proposals to the text of Recommendation 8 is 29 April 2016, 18:00 CET.

The public consultation template is available here. The submissions should be sent in English or French to [email protected]
