Briefer about emergency measures in the EaP region and actions CSOs have taken to address their impact on human rights.
As part of its CSO Meter initiative, ECNL and its partners in the Eastern Partnership (EaP) region have been following how the emergency measures taken by governments affect human rights and civic freedoms and how CSOs have responded. Our Briefer summarizes measures taken up to April 5, 2020.
The measures being taken include:
- Limitation on the right to public participation;
- Limitations on public assemblies and gatherings;
- Measures that limit the access to and spread of information;
- Limitations on the right to privacy;
- Limitation on the freedom of movement;
- Severe sanctions.
