In Croatia, a working group composed of government officials, lawyers, and a representative of ICNL has prepared a draft Law on Foundations, which is now open for public discussion. The draft seeks to replace the regressive 1995 Law on Foundations and Funds and create a more conducive environment for the establishment and operations of foundations in Croatia. The draft will be posted for comments on a number of local NGOs web sites. Roundtables on the draft are planned in some of the major cities in Croatia.
