The European Commission is currently undertaking a risk assessment of the NPO sector across Europe to identify potential risks for terrorism financing and anti-money laundering.
ECNL and its European coalition partners on FATF (European Foundation Centre and Human Security Collective) are leading efforts for joint civil society response and engagement. This supranational risk assessment (SNRA) will result in the publication of a report by June 2017 making recommendations to Member States on the measures suitable for addressing potentially identified risks. This is particularly important since the results may drive EU and member states regulatory actions towards CSOs.
