The Government of Montenegro adopted a decision to found the Council for Cooperation between of the Government and NGOs. The main goals of the Council will be the further development of institutional mechanisms of cooperation and participation of NGOs, monitoring of the implementation of the Strategy for Cooperation with NGOs and support the development of the relations between the Government and NGOs. The Council is composed of representatives of Ministries, the Head of the Office for Cooperation with NGOs and CSO representatives. The chairperson of the Council is the representative from the Government. The chairman and the members of the Council are appointed by the Government, for a mandate of 3 years. CSOs are elected through a public announcement.
