ECNL, the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Issues and Professionals for Civil Society NGO (PFCS) Armenia hosted a presentation of the “Code of Participatory Cooperation between RA Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and Public Organizations” and the Participation and Consultation web site on October 2, in Yerevan, Armenia.
The event convened over 50 participants: representatives of numerous ministries and state agencies, civil society organizations, international donor agencies and mass media. The Code was presented by s. Hasmik Khachatryan, Head of the PR Department of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs. PFCS presented the Participation and Consultation web site. During the presentation several ministries, among them Ministry of Health and Ministry of Defense, expressed their interest in developing and applying Codes on Participation to their work. They also acknowledged that they will be using the Participation and Consultation web site for posting their proposals and getting feedback from CSOs and general public.
