02-06-2009
ECNL presented the rationale of citizen participation as well as various comparative models.

On June 2, 2009, ECNL participated in a conference held in Sarajevo, which addressed the issue of an enabling legal framework for citizen participation in Bosnia in Herzegovina (BiH) against regional and international best practices, as well as recently conducted survey on citizen participation in BiH.

The conference, which was co-hosted by the Association of Alumni Center for Interdisciplinary Post-graduate Studies (ACIPS) and the Civil Society Promotion Center (CSPC), convened more than 50 government officials and NGO representatives to discuss the topic.

CSPC and ECNL’s participation in the conference was made possible through a USAID-funded project: “Sustainable Development of the NGO Sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina II”.
