Workshop in Kyrgyzstan on FATF standards affecting CSOs

ECNL's local partner in Kyrgyzstan, the Civic Participation Fund, jointly with ICNL's Kyrgyzstan team, ECNL and the Human Security Collective organized a workshop for CSOs and government representatives on general Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards affecting the civil society sector, the processes of country risk assessment and mutual evaluations. This is a part of ECNL's broader effort to assist the government of Kyrgyzstan and CSOs to conduct a joint risk assessment of the nonprofit sector regarding possible terrorist financing abuse, ahead of the Kyrgyz mutual evaluation by the FATF-style body, the Euro-Asia Group. We worked closely with the group on designing their risk assessment process.
