ECNL delegates two senior legal advisors to the European AI Alliance. With the establishment of the Alliance the European Commission is aiming to mobilise a diverse set of participants, including businesses, consumer organisations, trade unions, and other representatives of civil society bodies in order to share best practice, encourage private investment and activities related to the development of artificial intelligence (AI). The Alliance will also serve as a link between the High-Level Group on Artificial Intelligence and the public at large.
ECNL wants to contribute to formulating forward-looking principles to minimise AI's potential for abuse, harm by putting humans and their rights and freedoms in the center of the issue.
