The outcomes of the October workshop ECNL co-organized on the effective implementation of the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) standards on nonprofits are now available. The new resource paper presents the main points and takeaways from the discussions as well as provides further recommendations.
Our London workshop gathered 50 participants from the FATF, government delegations, the UN, OSCE, CSOs and academics. It addressed the mutual evaluation processes from government, nonprofit and FATF perspective and provided an inspiring platform for honest discussion on how to enhance CSO engagement and evaluation processes. Participants stressed the need for additional knowledge sharing and trainings as the key recommendation for furthering the process. In organizing this meeting, ECNL worked closely with UK partners from our Global NPO Coalition on the FATF and the FATF Secretariat.
