21-08-2013
The Monitoring Report examines the state of civil society in light of the developments in 2012 and presents recommendations on the legal framework, institutional capacity, international relations and research aspects of civil society.

The Monitoring Report was developed by TUSEV in the course of the Civil Society Monitoring Project which annually documents the state of civil society in Turkey since 2011. The Report was carried out with the support of the Chrest Foundation, Open Society Foundation, and the German Marshall Fund The Black Sea Trust for Regional Cooperation.

The Monitoring Report analyses the existing situation in Turkey and delivers recommendations on the legal framework, institutional capacity, international relations and research aspects of civil society. Additionally, this year’s report has an annex which examines the media visibility of civil society in Turkey through case studies.

The Civil Society Monitoring Report is the only report prepared by CSOs in Turkey, which provide an overall picture regarding the state of the third sector in the country.
