The goal of the conference was to identify regional and national experiences of cooperation between authorities and CSOs at the local level and to propose a model for effective cooperation and sustainable civil society at the local level.
The Macedonian Center for International Cooperation ( MCIC ) organized a conference "Civil Dialogue at the Local Level" which was held in Skopje on the 13th of July, 2011. The conference was organized within a project supported by the EU Delegation in Skopje - EIDHR. The project aims at increasing the influence of CSOs in policy-making at local level.
Numerous participants from Macedonian local authorities and CSOs from Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Serbia, Albania and Kosovo were present. Eszter Hartay from ECNL has introduced the main findings and conclusions of the comparative overview prepared on the models for cooperation and participation on local level.
