In early September, ECNL provided key expertise to ICNL designing and implementing the workshop on "Models to Promote Cooperation between Civil Society and Government" held in Casablanca, Morocco. Participants represented as many as 9 countries from the MENA Region.
ECNL designed the methodology and lead 4 workshop sessions, including a session on the overview of the legal framework for the cooperation of CSOs and public authorities; institutional mechanisms for cooperation; the policy framework for cooperation; and tmechanisms and principles for public participation in decision-making.
Prior to the workshop ECNL together with ICNL also developed a working paper on this topic, which will be further elaborated through channelling in the feedback received at the workshop.
