ECNL took part in panel discussion on possible ways of implementing the Charter.
The Active Citizenship Network (ACN) and the Active Citizenship Foundation (FONDACA) hosted a conference on the European Charter of Active Citizenship in Vienna on May 22-23, 2006. The conference is part of the project “European Charter of Active Citizenship – A common ground for European Civic Activism”, which aims to draft and promote a European Charter stating the rights of active citizenship based on the practical and theoretical knowledge of civic organizations. The conference provided an opportunity for civic organizations, EU institutions and national government representatives to discuss the Charter and find common paths towards the implementation of the Charter’s Principles.
