On March 31, 2009, the Ministry of Justice of BiH (Department for Civil Society), the Civil Society Promotion Center, the NGO Council and the Civil Society Committee hosted a conference in Sarajevo: Strengthening the Culture of Dialogue and Partnership Between the Government and Civil society.
The conference was held under the auspices of the President of the BiH Council of Ministers, Mr. Nikola Spric, who provided the welcome note. The conference presented an excellent opportunity to discuss ways to improve collaboration between the government and civil society, and improve implementation of the state compact between government and civil society, which was signed in 2007. More than 60 Parliamentarians, government and NGO representatives participated in the conference.
The conference was held in the course of a three year USAID-funded project: Sustainable Development of the NGO Sector in Bosnia and Herzegovina II, which the Civil Society Promotion Center is implementing in collaboration with ECNL.
