On January 24, 2011, the Serbian Government appointed Mrs Ivana Cirkovic as the first head of the Government's Office for Collaboration with NGOs. Prior to this appointment, Mrs. Cirkovic worked for the Deputy Prime Minister's Team for the Implementation of the Strategy for Poverty Reduction and was also a seasoned civil society activist. The Government of Serbia had commissioned ECNL to prepare policy paper which led to the establishment of the Office.
