Joint statement- Interactive Dialogue with the High Commissioner for Human Rights

In the framework of the 44th session of the Human Rights Council, ECNL joined a statement with Civic Space Initiative partners to discuss the adverse implications of the COVID-19 pandemic for civic space and stress the importance of civil society in responding to the crisis. The statement also calls on states to

1. Create avenues for inclusive participation and feedback
2. Ensure transparency and access to information
3. Ensure that existing channels of civil society participation are maintained
4. And finally, to ensure that measures and actions do not infringe fundamental rights.
