The Law Faculty of the VU-University and the Department of European Studies of the University of Amsterdam organized a conference on "Civil society in Europe; legal conditions and perspectives" on November 9-10, 2007 in Amsterdam. The event was aimed at legal researchers, NGO-policymakers, representatives from national governments, the European Commission and Council of Europe and from national and European advisory bodies, dealing with NGO-law and –policy. The program included lectures by speakers from the European Commission, the Council of Europe and the Social and Cultural Planning Office of The Netherlands, as well as six workshops, chaired by experts from 11 EU-countries. Mr David Moore on behalf of ECNL took part and delivered a presentation at this event.
