ECNL held workshops in Cyprus on civil society law and codes of conduct

The workshops aimed to raise awareness among stakeholders about the key principles on European level regarding CSO regulations and issues that should be considered in developing codes of conduct as self-regulatory mechanisms.

ECNL Legal Advisor, Katerina Hadzi-Miceva, held two workshops on on civil society law and codes of conduct in Nicosia on February 10. The workshops were organized by invitation of the Management Centre of the Mediterranean and InterCollege, Cyprus based organizations.

 The workshops are part of series events organized on topics identified in the CIVICUS Index report, and will lead to an island-wide and international symposium in May. During her visit Ms. Hadzi-Miceva also met with local stakeholders to assess how the legal environment impacts their work and provide expertize from comparative perspective.

The project is funded by United Nations Development Programme-Action for Cooperation and Trust (UNDP-ACT).
