On May 26, 2010 ECNL signed a memorandum of understanding with the NGO Council in Moldova. By signing the document, the parties agreed "to cooperate closely in order to create synergies in their work and, thus, to enhance the efforts for CSO related legal reforms in the Republic of Moldova."
The memorandum identifies priority work areas for the NGO Council and ECNL, outlines the mode of cooperation, where ECNL "will provide technical assistance and support to the Council of NGOs in promoting legal reform in the identified priority areas on the needs basis." ECNL also commits to sharing comparative materials and good practices regarding NGO legislation in Europe and internationally.
ECNL's work in Moldova is made possible within the framework of the Moldova Civil Society Strengthening Program (MCSSP) implemented by the Academy for Educational Development (AED) and with the generous support of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
