The amendments clarify conditions under which NGOs may directly in economic activities, and are introduced in response to the widespread practice of using NGOs as shield for economic activities.
In November 2007, Parliament of Montenegro enacted long anticipated amendments to the NGO Law. In collaboration with local partner, Center for the Development of NGOs from Podgorica, ECNL provided technical assistance to the Ministry of Finance in drafting the amendments.
