The purpose of the public discussion is to introduce the major features to the draft Law to key stakeholders and solicit their input on the draft.
The Ministry of Culture, in collaboration with the Balkan Community Initiatives Fund (BCIF), is hosting public discussions on the draft Law on Endowments and Foundations in the three cities in Serbia (Novi Sad, Nis, and Valjevo). The draft was prepared by the working group commissioned by the Ministry of Culture, of which ECNL was a member. ECNL Senior Legal Adviser, Dragan Golubovic, presented the major features of the draft Law in the event held in Novi Sad on December 4, 2008.
The initiative to reform the outdated legal framework for foundations and endowments in Serbia has been made possible thanks to the generous support by the Institute for Sustainable Communities Civil Society Advocacy Initiative, which is funded by USAID and DIFID.
