ECNL gave opening remarks, outlining basic features of the draft Law and how it differs from the current, regressive Law on Funds and Foundations.
On February 9, 2007, ECNL participated on a roundtable on the Croatia draft Law on Foundations, held in Zagreb. Participants to the round table primarily included representatives of foundations that operate in Croatia. Lively discussion followed ECNL's opening remarks. Participants praised the draft for it simplicity and provided useful feedback as to how the draft can be further improved. The roundtable was hosted by AED, as part of the CRONGO program funded by USAID Croatia. ECNL has provided technical assistance in preparation of the draft Law.
