As digital fundraising is a relatively new and fast-evolving area with plenty of opportunities but also threats, there is a lack of guidance for CSOs and other stakeholders to consider and follow when engaging in digital fundraising.

In the past year ECNL has launched a research and a series of expert discussions about the use digital technologies in fundraising, with the aim to create some standards that CSOs and other stakeholders can follow when using digital fundraising tools. All the accumulated knowledge is now structured into a set of Good Practices divided into two sections based on the stakeholders they are addressed to – regulators, meaning state authorities or decision makers and fundraising practitioners.

We hope that our Good Practices in Digital Fundraising will help CSOs to navigate in the world of digital fundraising and enable them to build lasting relationships with donors. As digital fundraising rapidly evolves, we consider this to be a living document and we will be happy to receive your feedback, including suggestions on what to add to the list, via email at [email protected] or [email protected].
