ECNL presented the key reasons why governments should support an enabling environment for diversified funding resources based on a research paper we developed.

On September 22-23, the LEED Programme of the OECD and its Centre for Local Development organized a conference on The Social Economy in Central, East and South-East Europe: Emerging Trends of Social Innovation and Local Development in Trento, Italy.

Conference participants discussed best practices and shared lessons learnt around two key themes:

  1. The rationale and legal frameworks for various social economy models, including how social economy organizations combine economic and social objective, how local best practices help shape policy processes; and
  2. the tools and strategies that the social economy employs, the key factors that define good practices in labor market integration and social inclusion, the role of partnerships and networking in developing social innovation.
