ECNL was one of key presenters at the conference and focused on regional and international best practices with regard to public financing of NGOs.
On March 8, 2011 the Civic Initiatives, in collaboration with the Provincial Fund for Civil Society, hosted a conference on public financing of NGOs.
The purpose of the conference was twofold:
- to educate NGOs on most important issues pertinent to public financing of NGOs against the background of regional and international best practices;
- to solicit input from NGOs as to the issues that need to be addressed in the pending decree on public financing of NGOs, which the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government has set out to draft.
Dragan Golubovic, Senior Legal Advisor of ECNL was one of key presenters at the conference. His presentation focused on regional and international best practices with regard to public financing of NGOs.
The conference was part of the project: "Civil Society Advocacy Initiative", which the Institute for Sustainable Communities is conducting in Serbia in collaboration with ECNL and local partners.
