The Final Report on the Index of Civil Society highlighted the lack of financial stability as one of the main challenges faced by the Bulgarian NGO sector.
ECNL participated in a national conference organized by the Bulgarian NGO "Balkan Assist" on 10 March 2005. The purpose of the national conference was to present the Index of Civil Society in Bulgaria, which was developed in the framework of a CIVICUS-supported project, coordinated by "Balkan Assist".
The Final Report on the Index of Civil Society highlighted the lack of financial stability as one of the main challenges faced by the Bulgarian NGO sector. ECNL's representative spoke about the "Financial Sustainability" of civic organizations in Central/Eastern Europe in terms of best practices and innovative means of support that may be adapted to the Bulgarian context.
