. At the event, ECNL delivered a presentation on the enabling tax environment for NGOs and headed a session on the enabling environment for corporate philanthropy.

The Manual was prepared by local experts in collaboration with ECNL.

The study visit provided international expertise on cooperation mechanisms and European and Hungarian best practices on regulating NGO work, sources of NGO income and tax benefits and mechanisms of NGO-government cooperation.

ECNL and ICNL worked closely with USAID/Croatia and DECIM on the event: helped identify experts, facilitated workshops and delivered presentations on NIS and CEE experiences.

ECNL supported the Civil Platform of Macedonia in organizing the event and held several presentations and workshops.

The White Paper focused on participation and public funding of CSOs.

The conference focused on public financing of NGOs and covered all the main issues related to this broad topic, including the various financing forms and mechanisms, procedural issues, central and local level examples.

ECNL will continue to work with the Ministry and members of the working group in efforts to address remaining outstanding issues in the draft, before it is submitted to the Government.

The changes in the legislation should help to eliminate the collisions and gaps in the existing regulations and to ensure the sufficient basis for the sustainable development of Lithuanian NGOs.
